Two tennis sweethearts in Court 1 were ousted during the fourth round at Wimbledon. Ana Ivanovic, the Roland Garros 2008 Champion, fell to Venus Williams and injured her left thigh while playing 1-0 in the second set. Truly, say what you want to say, my eyes were almost in tears seeing her cry.
Following the upset was Fernando Verdasco’s downspiral loss to Ivo Karlovic, the giant acer of ATP Circuit. Verdasco, the big hero of Davis Cup for Spain in 2008, couldn’t survive the scare that lasted for three hours, (6-7, 7-6, 3-6, 6-7).
