SurvivorDean’s Best Five (April 2010)

New month, new countdown. Who’s number 1?

Let’s get started to know what.

5) Usher- Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)

Down 3 from number 2. Love this song the first time I’ve heard it, it’s groovy and I am looking forward listening to it over and over again once I have the CD in my hands.

4) Alicia Keys- Try Sleeping with A Broken Heart

Another fall, three spots down from number 1. Yet, this song is certainly one of my biggest hits of 2010. Expect it to do well at my year-end countdown!

3) Usher (ft. will.i.am)- OMG

A new entry. I don’t know with those haters of this song. No joking, this is certainly another superb flava from Usher. The beat is good and things get better when its enhanced by will.i.am’s add-ons. When he performs this song in American Idol Top 10 Results Show, that’s certainly the bomb! Usher is absolutely back and for the best.

2) Toni Braxton (ft. Trey Songz)- Yesterday

As days went by, this song grows on me. The lyrics are in my head and somehow, I can relate to the message. Especially when Trey starts to crack and say,

“My promises don’t mean nothing
The end is so disgusting”

1) Trey Songz- Neighbors Know My Name

Remember the Usher in “Confession” days? He reminds me of Trey Songz honestly. After the smashing hit (I Invented Sex), Trey continues to feel horny and he expresses this feeling in the deepest and passionate way.

Horny Trey and he doesn’t care if his neighbors know it. Yeah, that’s okay, part of growing up. Trey is all for sex today but after listening to this song, someone bangs you down introducing you to a new promising artist who will rise from all corners of Rhythm & Blues/Hip Hop. Watch out Ush!
